Jennifer's Body/YMMV

  • Crosses the Line Twice: Jennifer is bound with ropes in preparation for a human sacrifice. The lead singer of Low Shoulder, having invoked a demon, raises the knife... and the whole band breaks out singing "867-5309/Jenny" over her screams.
  • Evil Is Sexy: Erm, yeah.
  • Fridge Logic: Why does Low Shoulder believe Jennifer is a virgin just because she says so?
    • Well, the band discussed it during their performance in the bar, where the lead singer claimed he knew girls like her. They showed off and strutted their stuff but never actually did anything. Not to mention Needy overheard them talking and defended her friend by saying she was a virgin, which would be much better than sleeping with creeps like them.
  • Fridge Horror: Even if Needy would be able to take control over the demonic powers she has, she would still fall under Jennifer's Horror Hunger because she wasn't a virgin anymore. She would go through the same motions as Jennifer went through.
  • Hell Is That Noise: The blood-curdling roar Jennifer lets out after trying (and failing) to devour a roast chicken.
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Jennifer can be creepy, most notably in her her first post-possession scene. In addition, the moments before her reveal are almost unbearably tense.
    • Jennifer's murder is horrific, what with her being tied down, unable to do anything but sob and beg for her life.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Needy has an Evil Dead t-shirt and has a poster of the first film hanging in her room. Cut to 2011 and Diablo Cody was hired to write the script for the remake for The Evil Dead.
  • Les Yay and Foe Yay: Jennifer and Needy's friendship is absolutely dripping in it. The bedroom scene takes it way past subtext. If you were under the impression that the trailer exagerrated it, it didn't, it actually toned it down.
  • Memetic Badass: Chip. He survived getting eaten long enough to get to dry land, impale Jennifer, and even calm his girlfriend down over his own death. If he were the star, the movie'd be over earlier.
  • Nausea Fuel: Jennifer's attempts to eat the roast chicken are less than successful. And very messy.
  • Squick
  • Tear Jerker: Chip's death.
