- There's a commercial for a Dora the Explorer mermaid Dora toy, which shows a mermaid girl whose mother is a human and father is a giant fish.
- Exactly what Jack Box is - the mascot for the restaurant chain Jack-in-the-Box, he's a guy whose head looks like that of a toy jack-in-the box - is hard to say, but his wife is human. One commercial shows that parents are similar, his dad being like him and his mother fully human.
