Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening is an exaggerated, manga-styled Affectionate Parody of the landmark PlayStation RPG, Final Fantasy VII. It is serialized on Smack Jeeves by Decalyn and ObstinateMelon. It pokes fun at everything from plot holes to the game's questionable translation.

- Affectionate Parody
- Alt Text: Only on the first few pages.
- Ambiguously Gay: Cloud has his slips every now and then, much to Tifa's irritation.
- Ascended Extra: Johnny.
- Beautiful All Along: Averted by Aeris, if Cloud's reaction (or lack thereof) is any indication.
- Blind Idiot Translation: Referenced every now and then. Aeris's "This guy are sick" line is left intact, coupled with the derpiest expression imaginable.
- Brick Joke / Chekhov's Gun: Jessie's ID card
- Cat Fight: Aeris and Tifa at the end of the Midgar arc.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Cloud.
- Death Glare: Sephiroth literally does one in Cloud's flashback. It makes a dragon's head explode.
- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: At the Train Graveyard, Tifa fights off Doomtrain by performing a full suplex on it. Cloud and Aeris are utterly awestruck by the sight (and in the former's case, aroused).
- The Ditz: Aeris.
- Fan Disservice: Hojo in Costa del Sol. Tifa and Aeris even cast blind on themselves
- Genki Girl: Aeris, surprisingly enough.
- Giving Up on Logic: Cloud does it at the end of this comic.
- Hypocritical Humor: Yuffie, the former Trope Namer for Wutai Theft, complaining an area filled with enemies who steal.
- Idiot Hero: Cloud acts more like Clod sometimes.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: Having lived all her life in the slums, Aeris doesn't know how beaches work, and ends up undressing completely.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Now provides the trope picture.
- No Fourth Wall: At one point, the fourth wall even shows up as a character, only to leave the comic, meaning there literally is No Fourth Wall.
- No More for Me: The party stops by the Weaponsmith in search of the Keystone.
Cloud: [accompanied by a burly barechested black man, a Humanoid Abomination posing in the Dramatic Wind, a talking dog, and a toy cat with a megaphone] "Barret's jade monkey doesn't work, we need your help."
Weaponsmith: "Holy shit. Ma was right, I should quit drinkin' this stuff."
- Only Sane Man: Tifa, Barret and Cloud.
- Running Gag: Cait Sith keeps getting destroyed.
- Shout-Out: There are tons of shout outs and references to other Final Fantasy games, other Square Enix games, Video Games in general, and even South Park.
- Spell My Name with an "S": A constant source of jokes, and not just with Aeris/Aerith. Butz/Bartz also makes a cameo appearance.
- Invisible to Gaydar: Don Cornelo picks "Cloudia" out of the lineup, of course... Hilarity Ensues.

- Wimp Fight: The aforementioned Tifa/Aeris Cat Fight. Made funnier when you remember Tifa is an expert Martial Artist.
