Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza/Funny

Forward/Reverse

  • TOTALLY PARTY!
  • For an example only available online, Brad messing with Chip in a game of Reverse. "My Lord is asleep right now, but he gave the the right to take all the messages from you." Props to Chip's hilarious accent.

Freeze Tag

Jeff: (in french accent) Gonna get on the ski lift. Oh, high. So very high!

  • Colin playing Yatzee in a game of Freeze looks like...something else.
  • Poor Jeff—it's been at least two times that he's been stuck in freeze-tag in a "promising" position (downward dog and on his hands and knees, respectively) without being tagged for most of the game... but it was absolutely hilarious when he ended the game himself, after getting sick of not being tagged out, and simply walking away.
  • This game of Freeze gives us Jonathan as a seal playing the Flight of the Bumblebees. Also a good reason why Ryan doesn't go to that many parties. Including a take that to the MGN!
    • Also from that video, a rip on the TSA that doesn't stop ripping:

Heather: I'm just gonna pat you down. (her hands unfortunately reach momentarily for Jonathan's pants)
Jonathan: Whoa...
Heather: All right... I am going to check this area... then I will ch...

Drew: Freeze! (replaces Jonathan as the Friskee with a lewd expression)

Heather: (is stunned for a bit)

Ryan: Freeze.

(he replaces Heather... then Drew is replaced by Jeff... then Drew re-joins Jeff, and Jonathan joins them all in front of Ryan...)

Hits Compilation

Moving People

(Audience member Jen is struggling to move Chip, as she continually forgets to move his legs.)
Chip: "I'm going to walk over to my tennis bag and get it. (Jen turns him around using his arms.) With my leeeeegs."
(After Chip gets his "racket," Jen again struggles to turn him around using his wrists, resulting in Chip starting to tip backwards. Trying to keep her balance, she spreads his arms wider.)
Chip, leaning backwards, arms outstretched: "WHASSUP, TOM?! I'M 'BOUT TO GET MY TENNIS ON!"

    • Same episode, also from Moving People:

Chip: I'm going to charge the net! (Jen, trying to make Chip charge the net, causes him to instead fall face-down)

New Choice

  • While "You wear my eye!" wasn't spectacular in and of itself, Ryan turning and refusing to change what he said in New Choice was hilarious. "No, I like that one!", indeed.
    • Also:

Colin: Why don't you make the nose even bigger?

Greg, as Elvis Costello: Well, let's take a look at this baby. Oh, look at that, it's a baby! (New choice) Oh, look at that, it's two babies! (New choice) Oh, look at that, it's not a baby! (New choice) What the hell is this? (New choice) That's not a baby, it's a doll! (New choice) That's not a doll, it's a baby! (New choice) (Beat) Wanna dance?

    • Jeff: Same choice but in the Elvis Costello accent.
  • "New Choice" from episode 19:

Greg: Did you ever really know me?
Ryan: I don't know.
Greg: If you knew me, you'd know that I wanted to be a writer. And that I didn't want to handle organs all day, especially your organ. I had to search for it all night.

Ryan: (putting his hand on Greg's shoulder) New choice.

Options

  • How can Options from Episode 2 be left out. Colin's accent, the ant song and Shakespeare stand out.
  • The other cast members picking up Drew and Kathy so that they can jump kick each other.
  • Jeff being stuck with twelve word sentences in a game of Options, and saying "Sucker!" in a Shakespearean accent.
  • Colin's response to the "horror" genre: he gripped his hair so that it stuck straight up from his head in a parody of old monster movies, bugged one eye out, and stalked after Drew, finally yelling "DO YOU LIKE THE HAIR NOW?!" while Drew let loose a bunch of shrill yells. Made even better when Colin laughs under his breath, "I think I hurt myself..."
  • Drew pulls a Colin in a game of "Options".

Drew: Ooh, my heart. (faints)

Sound Effects

  • What sound do flexing biceps make? "Magnificent! Powerful!!" And flexing butt cheeks? "Beyonce!!!"
  • NOT THAT DRAWER! It's not that kind of party!"
  • The Alexander the Great skit. One is Brad accidentally doing a spit on Drew when saying too fast and second "Alright! Prepare to pretend to die!"

Sentences

  • Ice Age, especially around halfway through where Jonathan's expression changes as he reads his second sentence.
    • And from the same scene:

Ryan: Helen say to me, "Purple monkeys in the tree!" (Beat) That's sex talk with Helen.

  • Colin and Ryan's game of Sentences, "I like boys!"
  • While Jeff's audience-produced line of "I forgot to man-scape-- you might not want to look down there" was hilarious on its own, the shot of Chip and Brad that follows it makes it even better. Chip's reaction is understandable, but Brad's deadpan is the best part of that entire sequence.
    • sex-butt.
  • Colin and Jeff's game of Sentences in Episode 39. "Quick, take a video of the laser beam shooting out of my ass and put it all over YouTube!" *grimaces*

Song for a Lady

  • Just look at poor Wendy's reaction when Brad belts "I know you put out!" the first time—Chip certainly tried to defend her, but the way Brad turned it around on him was absolute gold—and it sounds so good when you hear it in the song:

Brad: I know you put out!
Chip: What?
Brad: I know she puts out!
Chip: (Beat) The cat every night!
Brad: That's not all I'm talking about!

Others

  • "Kick it." Episode 28. Colin calling a game involving rap, when he can't rap at all. Also, Brad as a flamboyant nail technician.
  • "Two-Headed Expert" from episode 11 (found under the Videos tab). Jonathan and Chip are Jorge the "expert" of the Eiffel Tower. Everything they say in that segment is funny enough that they can't help laughing as they speak. ("Heeey, you llllook llllike you neeeeed aaa tooour guide. THAAAAAT'S MEEEE!")
  • Colin's reaction to Drew in a game of "Playbook". "DON'T MENTION SUZANNE!"
  • "One is a pane of glass and the other is a Jew."
  • Two Headed Expert from Episode 35. Pudding!
  • In the game of First Date from episode 12, Jeff says loudly to Jonathan, "I don't want to go to this party, let's just go make out somewhere." Jonathan turns and regards him for a moment before catching everyone by surprise by walking right up to Jeff, kissing him a bunch of times and then walking away with his head held high, all the dignity in the world.
  • The 'episode' of Question This where Kathy was Susan Boyle and Greg was Mark Twain was, frankly, amazing. On top of being the longest of that game, yet, it featured bad accents, particularly humorous wordplay, Drew being a complete dork, ("What comes after Lui-h" Luigi), pudding, and a Running Joke which, later, became a Brick Joke. What's not to love?
  1. "Flippity flap, flippity flap put a pancake on the stack, everybody flap my jack!"
