Don't Meddle With My Daughter/Heartwarming

  • Athena wanted nothing more than to raise Clara and live in peace after all she had endured as a hero. She had wanted to keep Clara away from being a super hero, because of all the crap she had gone through, thus she never told Clara about her past, her powers, or being a super hero. However, when Athena finds out that Clara had been recruited and joined N.U.D.E. to become the new 8th Wonder, she doesn't confront her and force her to stop. Instead she keeps the secret for as long as she can, and even protects, supports, and guides her from the shadows (in a good way).
  • At one point, Clara is facing a villain whose "power" is a special camera that glimpses the subject's past for the most embarrassing moments or juiciest secrets, and then posts them on the internet. The villain gives the ultimatum that either Clara surrenders to her (which means she herself would be photographed and exposed to the public) OR she was going to release the data for 10,000 civilians. This is one of the first times that Clara feels genuinely helpless and unsure of what she can or should do, but it also leads into some of THE most heartwarming moments of the entire series:
    • While she's contemplating her decision at school, she sees there are many girls (including her classmates) who want to protect her (8th Wonder) rather than have her surrender.
    • She then hears about how someone who was exposed by the villain already had attempted to commit suicide, but was luckily rescued and recovering in a hospital, this of course makes her feel awful, but as she's sitting down worrying about what to do, she notices that her mother had packed her some Godiva Chocolates... This leads her to her answer. She even calls Athena to tell her she appreciates her for looking out for her.
    • When she shows up to surrender to the villain, she walks like she's heading to the gallows, but then a large crowd of people (mostly women) dressed as 8th Wonder gather around her, and they ALL claim to be THE 8th Wonder, in a unanimous effort to protect the real one.
    • Including an adorable little girl that Clara had saved earlier in the series, who comes up to her and holds her hand with a huge smile on her face saying that SHE was "8th Wonder" too, and this all drives Clara to tears (of joy), knowing that she had made the right decision.
      • Special note regarding the little girl is that she was also one of the people seen on a news interview saying that Wonder protected everyone, so everyone should want to protect her (8th Wonder) too, because she didn't do anything wrong!
    • LASTLY, is when the villain is riiiiiight about to take a photo of the crowd, including Clara, Athena appears in full 8th Wonder attire, revealing that SHE truly is the REAL 8th Wonder.
  • Athena's recounting(s) of her husband BM the Shooter are rather touching, and definitely show that she loved him deeply.
    • As she recalls, she first met him when she was just starting out as the super hero 8th Wonder, and was supposedly doing pretty poorly. She explained that it was always as though he could see right through her. Like when he told her that he knew she was the one who was really in pain, and that she was crying on the inside (from all the abuse and harassment she endured).

Athena (Reminiscing): "That's how... I came to be Eighth Wonder."

      • He was the one who saved her when she was captured and gang-raped by Heavy Metal and her other enemies.
      • In one of THE most important parts of the story, Athena winds up going back in time and manages to end up on the day BM was said to have died. Once she realizes she had gone back in time and it was THAT specific day, the thought about time paradoxes and interfering with events doesn't even cross her mind. She herself admits that she felt as excited as a girl receiving a gift straight from God, and goes straight to where BM was, in order to save him.
  • The reunion of Athena and her husband. Athena and Point Blank get caught in a photon laser beam that sends them into the time stream. Athena winds up getting separated from Point Blank, and emerges from a portal. She discovers that she had actually gone back in time to the day that her husband, BM the Shooter was said to have died by blowing up a bomber carrying a doomsday weapon while he was on it. When Athena realizes where and when she was, she completely ignores just about every rule of time travel by flying straight to where BM was in order to save his life, not even thinking about the possible paradoxes such an act might cause. She even lets normal people see her, and in a VERY skimpy outfit no less, but then again, nobody knew who she was. Anyway, she frantically races to the catch up to the bomber, and all the while she's tearfully recalling memories of her husband, such as him rescuing her from Heavy Metal, him vowing to help protect her as she protects the world, and the two of them kissing passionately. After flying through a hellstorm of bullets from countless guns trying to repel her from reaching the ship, she crashes into the bomber right as her husband was about to shoot the doomsday weapon, which was going to cause the jet to self-destruct, she smashes into the room, flies into him, and tearfully embraces him... She then starts to get overwhelmed and panics upon realizing that she had just done all that without actually thinking it through (time travel safety rules, be damned), not to mention she was wearing what she felt was a VERY embarrassing (and skimpy) outfit, AND to top it all off she was convinced that he'd probably not recognize or believe her if she told him that she was actually Athena (from the future). It's a very rare case of seeing her so hilariously flustered as though she were a little girl.
    • Then comes the cherry atop the cake: As it turns out, not only does he recognize her, but he's actually Point Blank! He tells her that when they separated back in the time stream, he went back 2 years further than she did, and while trying to get back home, he met her younger self. The two fell in love, married, and he got her younger self pregnant (yes, meaning Clara is HIS and her child). Thus, her husband BM the Shooter, and he were the same person... She takes this as you would expect: With a priceless look of confusion on her face, and no clue how to actually process any of it. Amidst her confused rambling, Point Blank lifts her chin and tells her that if she still loved him (BM/Point Blank), then she shouldn't bother thinking of anything else and just hug him. She tearfully throws her arms around him and cries (happily) while hugging him tightly and repeatedly calling him "darling".
      • Suddenly, the doomsday weapon starts to malfunction and is about to self-destruct> Athena was going to try and fly them out, but Point Blank told her not to, because if they stayed, then theoretically they would be able to return to their own time. However, if it didn't work, then chances are they'd both die. Athena takes hold of his hand and decides to listen to him, saying that no matter what happens, she wouldn't let go of him this time. The weapon explodes as they are embracing and... The two are once again in the time stream! Point Blank tells her that the reason all this was possible was due to a combination of both the device's energy AND Athena herself, which they both realize means that THAT was actually Athena's 8th Wonder/Power! The two then proceed back to their own time, together...
      • Unfortunately, there's also a heartwarming yet tearjerker right at the end of this: As they go back to their original time, Point Blank thinks back about the younger version of Athena that he was leaving behind, that would think he just died before her eyes (she was even tearfully holding her hands gently over her womb, because she was pregnant with Clara at the time), and would be raising their daughter alone, without him for 18 years...

BM the Shooter: "Don't be sad... We'll definitely meet again. One day..."

  • The first encounter between Clara and Point Blank since returning from time traveling. Athena rescues her from about to be raped by a crowd of villains, while HE goes on a rampage shooting all the enemies present, saying "How DARE they do any of that crap to his daughter!" Clara sheds tears of joy upon reuniting with her mother, but when Point Blank approaches her? HE starts tearing up (happily), and telling her that he's her papa!
  • Athena confronting Zenovia about raising children: Zenovia had thought she was a failure as a mother, because she had (unknowingly) abandoned all of her previous children from the government experiments. While she had been raising Point Blank, her other children were cast out by the government and left with no other choice than to use their powers for villainy in an effort to keep food on the table. Zenovia later gathered all of her children to reform the Blowjob organization, and while it seemed like their goal was revenge on the government, Zenovia reveals that part of why she had turned back to evil was so that Athena (as the hero) would destroy her (and her family) once and for all, which was also why the doomsday mech was killing EVERYONE including the members of Blowjob. Athena hears this and immediately slaps her and tells her that that was NOT atonement for her sins, nor was it taking care of her children either. Zenovia asks her what she should have done then, because Clara had turned out so honest, righteous, and kind, what the hell could SHE have done? Athena's response? She says that she never taught Clara anything about being a hero. All of Clara's honesty and kindness, she developed on her own. All Athena did was embrace her as she was and tell her countless times that she loved her. This affects Zenovia so much that it leads to both a Heel Realization and a Heel Face Turn.
  • The relationship between Blue Skull and Blackbone (aka a recovering Artemis). Some history: Following Artemis' defeat at the hands (and tongue) of Athena, she ends up being captured by Zenovia, who has her subjected to rape and all sorts of sexual torture to brainwash her into becoming a slave to Blowjob. EVENTUALLY, thanks to Athena and Clara, she is freed and brought back by the N.U.D.E. organization who send her to Blue Skull for therapy. Now granted, it goes through some... Questionable phases, first and foremost they had to treat her mentally, which they seemingly succeeded at, but then came sexual therapy. I realize how that sounds, but at the same time, "goddesses" like Clara, Athena, Zenovia, and yes, Artemis all have damn-near insatiable sexual appetites once awakened. Blue Skull took it upon himself to care for Artemis, and eventually it seems they became lovers (of sorts)... Aaaaaaand supposedly that means they can be kinky together (which BOTH like).
  • By the time of the events of the latest comic of the series, it seems that Athena and Point Blank have been making up for lost time. Athena has given birth to at least 3-4 other children with another on the way.
    • Their second daughter even becomes the next iteration of 8th Wonder after Clara ascends the throne of the Goddess' floating city. (And yes, Mei is with her, which could basically be seen as them having married).
  • In MILF of STEEL: Forever, there's a story about Athena assessing some young boys with super powers to decide whether to recruit them to N.U.D.E. She discovers that they have been abusing their powers, even going so far as to rape a villain repeatedly on the grounds that it was their right as "heroes" to do whatever they wanted (to villains or anyone). After a... "battle", and Athena outsmarting and taking them all down, she disciplines them and brings them to N.U.D.E. where they are set to train as heroes. According to the narration, the boys later grew up to become a proper bunch of heroes forming the "legendary infiltration squad", the new leader of whom was the boy who was formerly bullied by the others, and would be known as "Spitball". He could supposedly penetrate and occupy any stronghold without spilling a single drop of blood.
