Carnival Phantasm/YMMV
- Ascended Meme: Fans often joked that the major difference between Saber and Saber Alter was that the latter didn't have her Ahoge and that she could probably will the transformation just by pulling it off. Cue Saber doing just that in episode 8.
- Another, more minor one is the idea of Archer having an Unlimited Food Works attack given his younger self loved to cook. In the Ilya Castle special, he assaults his enemies with a hail of cooking utensils.
- Cargo Ship: Apparently, Assassin has developed strong feelings for the gate of the temple he's been charged with guarding. Cargo Bodyguard Crush?
- Crowning Music of Awesome: The ending, "Fellows" by Masaaki Endoh.
- Final Dead Lancer, played at the end of episode 11.
- Ear Worm: The opening theme is not something to listen to right before going to bed.
- Fridge Brilliance: Why aren't Len and Satsuki part of the volleyball game in episode 2? Because they weren't playable in the original Melty Blood!
- Fridge Logic: How did Rin record the wrong channel in episode 4? If you pay attention to her dialogue, she mentions pressing a strange button. That did it.
- There's a lot of speculation as to whose hand Saber is reaching for in the end credits. Given that it is a girl's hand and it's someone close to Saber, it can only be Irisveil with Kiritsugu coming after her.
- The only odd connection was Roa and Taiga. One can only wonder what connection they share.
- Throughout the series, Sakura was always the Fake Grail, and seemingly knowledgeable about all the weird things going on, despite her oblivious exterior.
- There's a lot of speculation as to whose hand Saber is reaching for in the end credits. Given that it is a girl's hand and it's someone close to Saber, it can only be Irisveil with Kiritsugu coming after her.
- Funny Aneurysm Moment: Hisui becoming as cheerful as Kohaku after taking the mental age regressing potion becomes this if you happen to know their backstory.
- Grail-kun's advice to Shirou on how to become a hero by killing a million people. Considering what he does as a Counter Guardian later on in 'life'...
- Moe: Ilyasviel and perhaps, everyone!
- Extra worth noting would be Caster, as shown in the first episode while doing Tennis, proving that yes, Caster can be moe... and yes, Atsuko Tanaka can do Moe!!
- Nightmare Fuel: Grail-kun. It's not that he's a Jerkass Genie who only has one suggestion for everyone, that being to kill people with a knife; it's that he looks like a Moe Moe version of the Grail. Not the cup or something as idealized: the hideous, grotesque, deformed thing that's implied to be Avenger's womb, as seen in the Heaven's Feel route. It has a creepy smile, is constantly drooling some weird purple stuff, and talks with a childish voice. Sleep well!
- Having Sakura's voice actress doing the voice probably didn't help either.
- One-Scene Wonder: For as funny as the entirety of Berserker's First Errand is in episode 5, it's hard to forget Leysritt and her brief contribution before she gets dragged home.
- Tastes Like Diabetes: The opening... dear god...
- What Could Have Been: Sadly, there hasn't been a combined session of Tiger Dojo with Teach Me, Ciel-sensei.
- Sella and Hisui at a table; Taiga, Gilgamesh and Iskander at a table; Kiritsugu, Irisviel and Ilya at a table; we want season four!
- The Woobie: Lancer gets abused in this OVA, so much so that people might actually start feeling bad for the guy, since most of the time he is just minding his own business.
