The Village Band Shell

The Shorefront Park was designed that it may facilitate and play host to a number of outdoor events. In late Spring, the warmer season brings concerts, plays, boat racing, Battle on the Bay, carnivals, fairs, cultural events, sporting games and the 4th of July fireworks display. These events run most of the summer and beyond. Some of the town and village residents partake in jogging or bicycling along its pathways on the Park's shores.

Located on the Patchogue Bay, some of Shorefront Park's benches provide views of the Great South Bay. Since 2007, the Park has undergone updates by the village of Patchogue. There has been replacement of the older Band shell to a more contemporary style has been replaces. The new venue has served as the geographical host for the Great South Bay music festival,[2] and other organized events.

There are several summer outings that take place in the Patchogue Village Park.[3] South Ocean Avenue runs south through the heart of Patchogue, and the Park is due east on Smith Street from South Ocean Ave. Shorefront Park is located adjacent to Mascot Dock a few hundred yards southwest, with parking at Rider Avenue.[4]

'Rider Avenue Park' is located directly opposite or north of Shorefront Park.[5][6] This park has 3 baseball diamonds, basketball courts, hiking trails, bleacher stands, and serves local sports activities.
