Natty King

Natty King, real name Kevin Christopher Roberts, was born in 1977 in Jamaica.[1] He is a Reggae artist.

Life and work

King grew up in the countryside in Saint Thomas Parish in the Southeast, Jamaica.[1]

He rose to prominence in the early 2000s.[1] He landed his first hit of the DJ Trinity produced song 'Mr. Greedy , the # 1 on the Jamaican charts reached. His next single No Guns To Town debuted at # 1 of the video charts there. After the success in Jamaica, he decided in 2003 for tours through the US and by Europe, where he at the festivals Rototom Sunsplash (then in Italy, today appeared in Spain) and the Uppsala Reggae Festival (Sweden).

Music style

King makes Roots Reggae with lyrics that predominantly of Religion (Rastafari), and environmental policy act (Consciousness). His idols are The Wailers, Burning Spear and Luciano.[1]
