Founded in 2013, the firm has approximately $3.8 billion in managed assets in the United States. The firm has 14 US-listed funds, 4 European UCITS funds and 1 Hong Kong-listed product.[1] In July 2017, China International Capital Corporation agreed to acquire a 50.1% stake in Krane Funds Advisors LLC [2] .

History

Established in 2013, KraneShares is a leading China-focused asset manager in the United States with a sole focus on bringing Chinese capital market opportunities to global investors. The firm was the first to launch an MSCI-linked China A-share (mainland China) ETF in the US [3]. The firm is also well known in the China internet and technology space and manages both the first China and technology ETF to hold Alibaba Group stock after its IPO in 2014. [4]
