Barred rail

The barred rail (Hypotaenidia torquata) is a species of bird in the rail family Rallidae. The species was formerly placed in the genus Rallus.

The barred rail is widespread species, found across the Philippines, the islands of and around Sulawesi, and on and around north western New Guinea. The species is common, but shy and difficult to see.[2]
