Athens Metro rolling stock

Electric Multiple Units (EMU) are powered on the Metro network of Athens, with five or six coaches. EMU-5s are of a former type and are limited to Line 1. On Lines 2 and 3, routes are only operated with EMU-6s. The trainsets were put into operation at STASY in 2011, with its establishment (previously operated for the companies ISAP S.A. and AMEL S.A.).

They are identical in appearance with the 8th batch while known by the same nickname.An upgrade of the trains is envisaged
11th batch Adtranz, Siemens AG, Hellenic Shipyards Co., Bombardier 10th Batch trainset at Neratziotissa (2007) 6 4 1002 2000–2004 The 11th batch is the only batch of Line 1 of the Athens Metro which has 6 coaches. An upgrade of the trains is envisaged

21 (7 DC/AC & 14 DC) 2003 The second generation has power supply and a 750 V direct voltage third-wave current at 25 kV, but seven trains from line 3 are able to convert its power supply and electricity to a 25 kV alternating current with a pantograph, just like the Suburban and serve the section from Doukissis Plakentias to the Airport.
3rd generation Hyundai Rotem,Siemens 6 4 80[4] 1.032 On 16 September 2009, the contract for the supply of 17 new Metro trains was signed to serve the three new network extensions, following an international tender for a budget of 155 million Euros. The contractor of the project was Hanwa – Rotem. The delivery started in September 2013. After the receipt and completion of all required checks and certifications of trains and systems, according to the contract, the trains commenced operations on 6 June 2014.[5] 28 2014 The 3rd generation is the most modern series of trainsets running on the Athens Metro network

Line 4

Line 4, when at some point under the original design, it will have automatic trains without a driver.[6]
