1870 Isle of Wight by-election

The Isle of Wight by-election of 1870 was fought on 13 June 1870. The by-election was fought due to the death of the incumbent MP of the Liberal Party, Sir John Simeon, 3rd Baronet. It was won by the Conservative candidate Alexander Baillie-Cochrane.[1]
